Bring your Facebook Events to Your Website! Use the WP Event Aggregator Plugin from Xylus Themes to Automate the Process.

Events are at the heart of many great small businesses, and Facebook is a great place to publish events and advertise them to a large audience. You should have your events on your website too! We love the WP Event Aggregator Plugin from Xylus Themes because it allows us to publish events only once, yet they show up in multiple places! Gotta love automation. The WP Event Aggregator Plugin integrates with many different event calendar plugins, which allow you to display and manage events within WordPress. The one that we recommend is the EventON plugin. It has beautiful preconfigured layouts to display your events, and also saves important data such as event time, name of event, and more as custom fields. Having custom fields is essential if you want to create your own layouts.

This post will guide you through how to connect your Facebook page with your WordPress website so that the plugin can pull in your events! We assume that you already have the WP Event Aggregator Plugin downloaded as well as the event calendar (EventON for example) which you would like to use. Xylus Themes has their own guide (linked here). We found their guide to be useful, however our guide reflects some minor changes Facebook has made, and is more detailed to help you avoid confusion or technical difficulties.
